So, things have been busy lately, but I will try to get you up to date on all that's been happening.
I have about 4 hours now, flying both a Cherokee 140 and a Cessna 150. I've worked on straight-and-level flight, some turns, slow flight and power-off stalls. I've also worked on weight and balance, making radio calls, and plotting courses on charts. On the mechanics side, I've worked on measuring engine parts to make sure they are within tolerances, did a compression test, and worked on things not related to airplanes, but still relevant. Now, I say I have worked on these things, but I have a long way to go till I master these things. There is a lot to learn, and it will take me a lot more than just a few months to learn it.
So, I have been home since the middle of December for Christmas break, and that might seem like a long break, but I had good reason for it. My baby brother Josiah Elias was born on Feb. 5th, so of course I wanted to wait until he came before going back to school. But, Lord willing, I will be returning to school this week or next week. It's time for me to get back to work, and learn how to fly!
